Change Company Financial Year

Change Company Financial Year Start Date

This option is used to change the start date of a company's financial year. From this new date the company's financial calendar is reorganised. To use this option select File > Company Options > Change Company Financial Year from the main menu.

Enter the new financial year start date into the New Financial Year Start box.

Creating 13 Period Financial Year

If you require to use a 13 period financial year then you need to enter the exact date that your financial year will start from and, if that date is not the 1st of a month, the system will automatically create a 13 period year. For example if your financial year starts on 15th April 2012, the software will create a period for 15th April - 30th April as the first period, 11 other monthly periods and finally a period for 1st April - 14th April as the Year End period.

When you have entered your new financial year, click OK. You will be asked to confirm your change and click OK to proceed.

To view your new financial calendar use Company Preferences and the Financial Calendar option. To do this select File > Company Preferences from the main menu and then select Financial Calendar.  Click here for more information.
